INFO / ON
Wimbi is a self-generated final year degree project that explores the potential for physical interactivity to provide an engaging and enjoyable user experience. By using simple wave-like hand gestures users are able to direct trails of coloured shapes across a large projected canvas. Hand movements are tracked with a camera that detects the position of a series of LED's worn on the user's hand. By touching forefinger and thumb the user operates a switch that enables the selection of shapes and colours from a neighbouring interface. Wimbi was conceive and created by Multimedia Design student Mikhail Verma.
